⚡ *MYTH vs REALITY #01 | COMPRESSED AIR*
*MYTH:*
_Higher compressor pressure always improves production reliability._
*REALITY:*
Increasing compressor pressure may temporarily hide a distribution problem — but it can also increase:
• *Power consumption*
• *Air leakage*
• *Artificial demand*
• *Stress on downstream components*
If a machine is not getting the required pressure, first check:
• Pipe sizing
• Pressure drop
• Filters and restrictions
• Demand during peak production
• Leakage
• Point-of-use pressure
*Raising the compressor setpoint should not be the first solution to a poorly performing distribution system.*
