CB Series High Pressure Booster Compressors (10–40 HP)

The FS Curtis CB Series Booster Compressors are high-pressure reciprocating air boosters engineered specifically for PET bottle blowing and other high-pressure air applications. Designed to accept pre-compressed inlet air (typically 5–13 bar) and boost it up to a maximum working pressure of 40 bar, the CB Series provides an energy-efficient alternative to standalone high-pressure compressors.

The booster block features a heavy-duty cast-iron crankcase with precision-machined and honed cylinders ensuring durability under high compression loads. High-strength GG60 cast iron crankshafts with counterweights enhance mechanical stability, while stainless steel high-pressure inlet and outlet valves ensure reliable sealing and long valve life.

Compression and oil-retaining ring assemblies are designed for high-pressure operation with minimal leakage. The belt-pulley driven transmission system with flywheel ensures smooth torque transfer and simplified maintenance.

An automatic load–unload discharge system enables loadless starting, reducing motor stress. Integrated air-cooled after-coolers reduce discharge temperatures, protecting downstream PET moulds and pneumatic systems.

Additional features include oil splash lubrication, long-life bearings, intake filtration with silencer, oil level indicators, and specialized discharge systems preventing oil carryover during blowdown cycles.

Available in multiple models, the CB Series delivers Free Air Delivery ranging from approx. 63 to 324 CFM depending on inlet pressure conditions, making it suitable for PET, bottling plants, packaging, and high-pressure industrial processes.
