Description
The FS Curtis CR Series Refrigerated Air Dryers are high-efficiency moisture removal systems engineered to deliver dry, contamination-free compressed air for industrial pneumatic applications. Available in capacities ranging from 20 to 2000 CFM, the CR platform utilizes advanced non-cyclic refrigeration drying technology to maintain consistent pressure dew points under varying load conditions.
The drying system incorporates an integrated heat exchanger module combining a pre-cooler (air-to-air), evaporator (air-to-refrigerant), and stainless steel demister moisture separator. This cross-flow heat exchanger design increases turbulence and maximizes heat transfer efficiency while preventing internal clogging.
Encapsulated PUF insulation minimizes thermal losses and enhances cooling efficiency. A hot gas bypass valve automatically regulates refrigerant flow to maintain stable dew point temperatures across fluctuating ambient and load conditions.
High-pressure, high-temperature refrigerant vapor injection ensures precise temperature control, preventing condensate re-evaporation. Automatic electronic timer-controlled condensate drains enable positive discharge of heavily contaminated moisture.
The dryers are factory pre-piped and wired for plug-and-play installation. Eco-friendly refrigerants with zero ozone depletion potential make the CR Series environmentally compliant.
Models up to 600 CFM utilize reciprocating refrigeration compressors, while higher capacities employ scroll or hybrid refrigeration systems for enhanced efficiency.
