Summits LC Series Laser Air Dryers are precision-engineered multi-stage compressed air purification systems designed specifically for laser cutting and CNC laser processing applications. The system ensures delivery of ultra-clean, moisture-free, and oil-free compressed air to protect sensitive optical components such as lenses, mirrors, and beam delivery systems from contamination damage.
The drying process begins with multi-stage coalescing pre-filtration using 5-micron particulate filters and 0.01-micron oil removal filters to eliminate bulk moisture and liquid oil from incoming compressed air.
Pre-treated air then enters twin desiccant adsorption towers where moisture vapor is removed to achieve pressure dew points up to –40°C. Downstream activated carbon towers remove oil vapors to residual levels as low as 0.003 mg/m³, while submicron filters remove particles down to 0.01 micron ensuring ISO 8573-1 compliant air quality.
Integrated Auto Vent Systems (AVS) prevent untreated air from reaching laser cutting heads during switching cycles. Moisture indicators enable real-time outlet air validation, while oil check apparatus monitors residual oil content.
Energy optimization is achieved through purge economizers that reduce purge air consumption during part-load operation. The skid-mounted packaged design ensures plug-and-play installation in laser cutting air supply networks.
