Description

Summits Adzorb Series Heatless Desiccant Air Dryers are twin-tower adsorption drying systems engineered to deliver ultra-low dew point compressed air for critical industrial applications. The dryers operate on Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) principle, where moisture is adsorbed by desiccant media in one tower while the second tower undergoes regeneration using dry purge air. Wet compressed air first passes through multi-stage pre-filtration comprising 5 micron particulate filters and 0.01 micron oil removal filters to eliminate bulk moisture, aerosols, and contaminants before entering the adsorption chamber. Inside the towers, activated desiccant beds adsorb moisture vapor achieving pressure dew points up to –40°C (optional –70°C). The regeneration cycle diverts a controlled portion of dry air, expands it to atmospheric pressure, and purges accumulated moisture from the saturated desiccant. The system integrates PLC-based control for precise valve sequencing, alarm management, and maintenance alerts. Moisture indicators provide real-time outlet air quality validation. Oil check apparatus ensures downstream oil content remains within 0.1–0.2 mg/m³. Energy-saving features include purge economizers and Dew Point Dependent Switching (DDS), capable of reducing purge air consumption by up to 50% under part-load conditions. The dryers are supplied as skid-mounted packaged units with pre-filter, oil filter, desiccant towers, after-filter, silencers, and auto drain systems, ensuring plug-and-play installation. Adzorb dryers are ideal for pharmaceuticals, electronics, instrumentation, painting, food processing, PET blowing, and critical pneumatic applications requiring moisture-free compressed air.

Compressed Air Dew Point Meters / Moisture Monitoring Instruments

Summits SM Series Dew Point Meters are precision moisture monitoring instruments engineered to measure pressure dew point levels in compressed air and gas systems. Designed as portable or panel-mounted sampling units, these systems provide accurate real-time moisture analysis essential for validating dryer performance and ensuring process air quality compliance. The sampling unit incorporates a complete measurement assembly including ball valve isolation, pressure regulator, measuring chamber, flow control meter, dew point transmitter, and non-return valve protection. This configuration ensures stable sample conditioning before moisture analysis. The dew point transmitter measures moisture levels across a wide range from –80°C to +20°C dew point with high repeatability. Electrical signals proportional to moisture concentration are transmitted to a process indicator for display and monitoring. The process indicator features multi-resolution LED display with retransmission outputs including 4–20 mA, 0–10V, and RS485 Modbus RTU communication for BMS / SCADA integration. Sensor assemblies are protected using sintered stainless steel filters preventing contamination ingress. Lightweight aluminium modular enclosures enable portability and field deployment for compressed air audits and dryer validation testing. These instruments are widely used in pharmaceuticals, instrumentation air, food processing, PET blowing, electronics manufacturing, and critical compressed air quality monitoring applications.

Condensate Drain Valves / Zero Loss Auto Drains

Summits Zero Air Loss Drain Valves are intelligent condensate discharge systems engineered to remove moisture from compressed air systems without any loss of valuable compressed air. Unlike timer-based drains that discharge air along with condensate, these level-sensing drain valves operate only when condensate is present, delivering significant energy savings. The Pacto Series operates using a magnetic float level sensing mechanism. As condensate accumulates inside the drain chamber, the magnetic float activates a reed switch, triggering a solenoid valve that discharges condensate for a short duration. Solid contaminants are retained via integrated strainers. Smart Shift Technology automatically switches operation from level sensing mode to timer mode if dirt accumulation is detected, ensuring uninterrupted drainage even under extreme contamination conditions. Pactoplus models incorporate 3-point sensing with BMS connectivity, maintenance alerts, and intelligent contamination detection. Hygrobot variants utilize pneumatically actuated full-bore ball valves, eliminating the need for electrical power, making them suitable for hazardous and explosive environments. Constructed using E-coated die-cast aluminium bodies with stainless steel float assemblies, the valves ensure corrosion resistance and long service life. Large surface strainers extend maintenance intervals, while magnetic test switches enable manual functional testing. These drain valves are installed on air receivers, filters, dryers, aftercoolers, and pipelines to ensure efficient condensate removal and compressed air energy conservation.

Desiccant Air Dryers / Heatless Adsorption Dryers

Summits Pneuzorb Series Modular Heatless Air Dryers are compact twin-tower adsorption drying systems engineered to deliver ultra-dry compressed air in space-optimized industrial installations. Designed on Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) principle, the modular platform combines high drying performance with low purge consumption and simplified maintenance architecture. Wet compressed air first passes through pleated borosilicate depth pre-filters that remove bulk moisture and liquid oil, extending desiccant life. Pre-treated air is directed via shuttle valves into one adsorption tower where premium-grade desiccant removes moisture vapor. Simultaneously, the second tower undergoes regeneration using expanded dry purge air. Stainless steel conical diffusers ensure uniform air distribution through the desiccant bed, maximizing adsorption efficiency at every stage of airflow travel. High crushing strength desiccant with low attrition loss enhances longevity and consistent dew point performance. Integrated purge economizer technology reduces purge air consumption significantly during partial load operation. The system also incorporates Dew Point Dependent Switching (DDS) enabling demand-based regeneration for additional energy savings. Moisture indicators provide real-time outlet air quality validation, while optional oil check apparatus measures residual oil content down to 0.1–0.2 mg/m³. Honed cylinders, PTFE guide rings, and U-cup seals in switching valves extend Mean Time Between Maintenance (MTBM). The modular vertical design reduces footprint, simplifies installation, and enables easy scalability for instrumentation, pharmaceuticals, electronics, painting, and process air applications requiring low dew point compressed air.
