Refrigeration or Desiccant Drying
Summits ELIX refrigeration dryers can be assessed for ordinary plant-air moisture control where the supported outlet condition fits the process. Adzorb heatless desiccant dryers and Pneuzorb modular desiccant dryers are considered for duties requiring a lower pressure dew point. Dryer selection uses flow, pressure, inlet temperature and ambient conditions, including catalogue corrections.
Filtration for the Required Contamination Limits
Summits compressed-air filters are selected by the required particle and oil-control duty. Coalescing filtration and oil-vapour treatment serve different purposes, so one filter is not assumed to remove every contaminant. Filter sequence, maintenance access, drainage and pressure loss are established for the specified air-quality requirement.
Condensate Management Throughout the System
Pacto, Pactoplus and Hygrobot zero-air-loss drains can be reviewed at compatible receiver, separator, dryer and filter locations. A dryer cannot compensate for failed drains or liquid accumulating in the distribution network. Condensate handling and disposal arrangements should form part of the plant assessment.
Measure Moisture Where It Matters
Dew-point meters and sampling units support moisture checks under the appropriate sampling conditions. Specify the measurement location, pressure and required range. Pressure dew point and atmospheric dew point are not interchangeable readings; evaluation must use the basis required by the application.
Laser and Other Critical Applications
The LC laser dryer system can be assessed where the laser machine’s air specification calls for suitable drying and oil-contamination control. For any critical process, share the equipment manufacturer’s requirements. The offered treatment train and operating limits are confirmed for the complete package.
